God: ultimate creator#finisher
Hebrews 12:2-3 (KJV) “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”
In our estimation of life, nothing is ever simple, yet the confidence that we have is that even as go about living, that the constant in our lives is Jesus Christ. He was there in the beginning and came in the flesh; He fought captivity and won.
He then rose after being crucified and He conquered and defied gravity by rising up to heaven to reign on the right hand of the throne of God, His Father.
He defied convention and is still creating us for His purpose.
My God, I think we have an awesome creator and Father. Nothing defies what He can do and for that I can say, Glory be to God, glory be to the Son and by gosh, glory be to the Spirit of truth.
Let God continue to reign on His throne.
God: authenticate his authority when we praise and worship…
Psalms 95:6-8 (KJV) “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:”
In honoring God, we acknowledge Him as our Lord and King; the potentate over out lives and the one we can trust with out entire being. He is truly deserving of such honor because He has created us in His image and done likeness.
In honoring our Father, we praise Him, we give Him the glory, we worship and bow down before Him and we adore His matchless name.
To God alone be all the glory.
God: precious place to be….
Psalm 1:1-3(KJV) “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
In the course of the day, there is so much activities that presents itself to occupy our time and attention and at the end of it all, we feel incomplete if it isn’t channeled properly.
In the things we are doing, we have to find time to spend with God; that beginning of the day activity which really focuses us for the remainder of the day no matter what comes up.
It literally gives Him the authority to lead and guide; it gives Him the respect due as oversight of our lives and it allows Him to know that your trust belongs to Him.
Spending time with our heavenly Father is a gift and it is a blessing. I am happy to partake in it no matter what event is happening. Tap into His grace, His presence.
God: didn’t just make us, but gives life lessons….
Isaiah 54:13 (KJV) “And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.”
The beautiful thing of having a heavenly Father who has a vested interest in our well-being is that He does an all around complete job where we are concerned and it can be acknowledged that He gets the glory at the end of it all.
Whatever is lacking in us as His children, is guaranteed to be fulfilled by His grace as He prunes us to be a ready tool.
God our Father, teacher, counselor and great physician. He is all that and more to us.
God: does it all with His outstretched arm…
Isaiah 40:10-11 (KJV) “Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
There are times when we are wounded: it can be in the spirit or physically, but in those moments we need someone to be there to reassure us and promise that it will be all right.
Many times it doesn’t happen, but then again we have a Heavenly Father who is so attuned to our needs and He comes to us to resolve our issues when the time is right and He knows we have reached the threshold of our tolerance.
To God be the glory for knowing how much we can bear and for being that hand that feeds us.
God: will do it before you perceive it…
Isaiah 43:19 (KJV) “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Sometimes we are perplexed in our situations and do not know where the origination or end of it will come to fruition. We get so bogged down in the circumstances of life that it causes a overshadowing of darkness in our lives.
We get to the point where we cannot enjoy the basic things we are blessed with. But when we trust in God and understand His promises and the marvelous things He is capable of, it is best just to trust Him.
He is able to more than we are able to understand or comprehend; we have stand on that belief.
He is able; our God is able.
God: gives us reasons for events…
Exodus 23:22 (KJV) “But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.”
In our relationship with God, there are some powerful promises which really speak to our situations today as we go about this life. So many things happen which causes us to believe that we are at the bottom of the ladder; that is a fallacy as far as God is concern.
He has already created the blueprint and spoken the situation into being and as far as He is concerned: it is finished.
May our hearts and mind soar to the level of faith that will allow us to just know and trust His word spoken to us.
God: weighs it all…
Proverbs 16:1-3 (KJV) “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
Many times we look at our lives and we do a surface review of how we doing; what we got right and what might not be looking up to the standards we line up for ourselves.
It’s good and necessary that we judge ourselves and our actions; see where are standing and how we are proceeding in the scheme of things.
That’s good, but God is the ultimate judge and even we give a situation a passing grade, He determines the root of it all.
Start out giving it to Him to weigh the matter and there will be less issues to deal with at a later date..
God: is a miracle worker#evennow…
John 14:13-14 (KJV) “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Many times as believers we doubt to power of God within us and we don’t recognize who He is and what He is capable of doing through us.
We have a relationship, but we doubt the connection and in that way the adversary has a very strong hold on our minds to cast doubt and minimize God’s effective in our lives.
Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever. Whatever was told by Him back then and was ordained by God the Father, preached by the prophets and manifested by His birth is still so relevant today.
Believe in Jesus.
God: gave a covering that is safe….
Psalm 46:1-2 (KJV) “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;”
In our life we tend to lean on others and truth be told, at some time, it may become burdensome when it is one-sided. Sometimes it may feel as if our load is too much for them to bear and in all honesty, it might be.
They are only human and subjected to the same things you are going through.
Jesus ask us to cast our cares on Him for He careth for us; this is a fail safe burden bearer. He won’t leave you hanging, but will carry the burden and take it away from your shoulders.
That is a Father, that is a friend; He is your savior. Use Him as such.
God: authenticated the coverage with His Son…
Exodus 12:13-14 (KJV) “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever”.
God offers protection to His people even total covering from evil, harm and danger. My thing is, with the world as crazy as it is, who can refuse this divine care granted to us? I won’t.
However, the temporary covering in the word in the beginning is replaced by a more potent and lasting coverage: that of the blood of Jesus.
It washes away sins, it heals and it is a barrier against all types of situation we are in, if we activate it.
Thank God for the blood of Jesus, that washes and makes us whiter than snow…
God: put His between us to get to us#awesome…
John 17:17 (KJV) “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
When we read the word of God, we are just aligning ourselves to be at the place to receive what He has put in place for us. The word give direction on how to find our blessings and by gosh, when we get into it, there is much to gain.
Look into the word even as you seek growth from one stage to the other and you will gain victory in living.
God: expects us to wait on His direction….
Psalm 27:13-14 (KJV) “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
Even as we go through the trials and toils in this world, and I believe they will be and are many, we have to choose to stand on our faith and belief in God. It’s not a question of if we can, but how long can we wait in earnesty.
It may take a while for the answer to the question we have, but in seeking direction from God, the expectation is that He will show in the right time.
Give yourself the gift of learning to wait.
God: is my light and salvation…
Psalms 27:1-2 (KJV) “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.”
It might seem that things are not as you want it; things not going the way we foresee it, yet it is in the Spiritual realm as it needs to be. God made the blueprint and it will be as He designed it.
Just because He is our light and our salvation, it will be proven in the end that His will shall triumph in all our situations; even when run away from His presence and attempt to do it on our own, God will be the winner ultimately.
When it is so dark and base, God does so have a plan that will come to fruition.
God: remembers when we have forgotten….
Genesis 19:29 (KJV) “Thus it came about, when God destroyed the cities of the valley, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot lived”.
For some of us, the thing we have been trying to accomplish have been elusive, it always seems to be just a little bit out of our reach and maybe even to the point that it will not come to fruition.
But God has a very long memory and He keeps tab on His people in a way that we cannot fathom.
God remembers everything that is necessary to get us fulfilled and to the holistic before Him.
I love my Lord.
God: loves us; that’s why…
Deuteronomy 7:7-9 (KJV) “The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath the Lord brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;”
Maybe at times you question yourself about why certain things are happening and why when it ought to have been negative, it turns out positive. Some folks would have you believe “that’s just the way it is”.
That assumption can prove to be wrong at the best of times. God in His tender mercies made a way out of nowhere and caused the bad things to become good and it is all for our benefit.
I love my heavenly Father and what He has done in my life to cause me to be a part of His body.
He is such a wonderful Father.
God: is truly trustworthy….
Psalm 118:8-9 (KJV) “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.”
In this life it is difficult at times to truly place all of your trust in someone; folks have faults and they are subject to failure, we all are prone to fail at one time or the other.
Some do it deliberately and others by happen chance; we can’t crucify each other when we fail, but try and get a glimpse of the behind the scene efforts and work through it.
One person that will emphatically not fail us in our walk on this earth is Christ; He has already been through it and He passed the test, so there is no failing now.
Trust In God with all your heart and it will work out for the good.
God: had a plan…
John 12:32 (KJV) “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
Jesus did not stutter in explaining the conditions for allowing the blueprint to be released to accomplish the process; somehow we miss it when He expresses a desire.
He has been lifted up and as of now the work is being accomplished by His grace.
We can praise God. Yes we can.
God: gave us the conditions of certain blessings….
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 (KJV) “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.”
Some days you see your situation and wonder when it will ever end or when the overflowing blessings you read about and expect will start to manifest itself; you truly get to the point where you want it to happen now.
In looking for the blessings, identify if there are conditions associated with getting it to you and maybe they haven’t been met.
At a certain level, God gives plain instructions on getting information to us; other times we have to wonder.
The good thing about Him is that He is always available to answer the hard questions.
God: gave a pattern of expectation….
Colossians 3:17 (KJV) “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
God gave us a tool which can be activated in all the situations we are faced with in this life; the name of Jesus is so powerful that our issues and dilemmas have to shudder at the sound of His name and with it’s use, we just overcame.
The most difficult part of this plan is remembering that He is that close to us we can just whisper Him name and things change for the better.
Pattern the use of His name and see an uphill view of challenges.
God: approaches us for intimacy….
Psalm 37:6-8 (KJV) “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”
In interacting with God, it is appropriate to ask Him how best to please Him; after you have done what you are able and need that deeper connection, it is more than acceptable to interact with Him as a Father and ask what is missing.
He is so God that He already knows the purpose He created each of us and will be in agreement with our desires in wanting more of Him. He said when we search for Him with all our hearts we will find Him.
Needing more of God is so in alignment with Him wanting to give us more of Himself; approach Him on that level and see the deeper grace unfold.
God: thought this through absolutely…
Hebrews 10: 8-10 (KJV) “Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
If one can imagine that within ourselves there is nothing perfect or good that can justify us or make us acceptable before God, then we can see that the sacrifice that was made by God in granting us the gift of Jesus as the sacrificial lamb just about makes sense.
We are able to be justified because He made that sacrifice. That in itself is utter perfection.
We are made perfect as He has seen fit to shed His blood. Perfection through Christ.
God: gave us a Savior because we need one….
Matthew 9:12 (KJV) “But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.”
AS we a believer we come under great scrutiny by folks who have chosen not to walk with the Christ. Our actions and outcome is a constant reminder that Jesus fought a battle and won, so the accuser is now looking for avenues where he can see a loophole and contend that the job was not properly done.
That accusation is a facade for those who don’t know their rights and authority; you see, when those accusations come, it is good to know that someone already blood to cover, the cross is eradicating that wrong; the resurrection grants more victory than death.
As a believer, those accusations fall under the acts of love we are showered with by the Savior. God gave Him to us to validate our lives.
Claim your Savior, because He surely has grasped you from the accuser’s grasp.
God: made the provisions…
Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
A good friend always open the way to offer assistance; they try to be altruistic in what they are doing without you feeling any recriminations in what you are going through or the mess you happen to be in this time.
The messes can be many and that friend sees it; however, they are blessed with that ability to provide a solution versus being judgmental.
God gave us an invitation and made provisions for us to visit that place called the “throne of grace”; we can go to that place “boldly” whenever we are in the need of help and it is free.
Find it and it will be a balm for weary souls; feet that are tired of being trod upon as we seek one after the next solution.
The throne of grace…
God: leads us through the issues of life victoriously….
Psalm 139:23-24 (KJV) “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
In this life we need someone without bias to look at us and determine the errors and things which can be slightly askew. When we look at ourselves in our own eyes, we tend to be self loving and find nothing wrong.
No matter how much our heart needs tweaking, if we can’t be honest in our self evaluation, it’s going to be rotten all the way.
When we ask the Spirit of God to do the searching, He does a deep dive and see the things, pebbles, stones, dross, you name it, that has built up and causes heart cavity, making us imperious to Godly sorrow.
When God leads us, the path tend to be straight and accurate; we end up victorious.
God: is an adequate provider….
Philippian 4:19 (KJV) “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.
In this life we have many needs that we want fulfilled; there are those types of need which we cannot fathom accomplishing in our life time and some we look at a say, maybe it is doable with some planning and patience.
Through it all, God is the ultimate giver of gifts; He holds it all in His hands and it is is delight to bless us.
Today, He said, if you hear His voice, harden not your heart. Our Father is asking us to walk in the premise of the promises He has for us and not look to the left or right hand, but keep our eyes focused on what He is doing for us.
He is doing a lot, present it to Him and let Him work.
God: a rock of support….
Psalm 138:3 “In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul. “
I know many of us can attest to the fact that in the most deepest times of our needs, appropriate support is never at hand, the human kind that is…the folks we feed into with emotional and other types of assistance rarely is available when hell breaks loose in our lives; it’s just some unknown law.
But thanks be to God who has an eye on our lives and our needs and when we cry out to Him, help is on the way.
In this relationship, that type of support is priceless for me.
God: commands holiness in all it’s beauty…
Psalm 29:2 (KJV) “Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.”
in God’s presence there is beauty, there is love and there is all types of glorious things which He reveals and continuously has been revealing to us.
One thing He respects and desires of us is that we will honor and worship Him and give to Him those things the will cement the relationship.
To God be the glory in all things for He is a wonderful Lord to us. Blessed redeemer.
God: loves our voices as we sing to Him….
Psalm 96:1-4 (KJV) “O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.”
As we interact with our Lord, it is fitting that we lend our voices to singing Him songs of worship, adoring Him and loving Him at all cost.
Let our voices blend in fellowship to our Lord and know that He inhabits the praises of the Saints. He adores and welcomes the songs we pour out to Him.
Bless the name of the Lord, oh my soul will delight in Him.
God: reveals Himself to us….
Revelation 1:8 (KJV) “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
It’s not a strange thing as we search for God and ask “who are you Lord” that even so, He has revealed himself to us already.
The Lord approaches the souls and heart of His people and give them a revelation of who He is in His word and as He speaks to our hearts.
If you are one of them that feel lost or still searching to know Him, maybe the search is awry….He already showed us His character and His Son and in this we find our Lord.
God: covering without complaint
Psalm 46:1-5 (KJV) “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.”
When the world is overwhelming us, the one thing we want to be assured of is that it will be all right; that our world will be life will be restructured and at peace.
Know that God already thought of that and it shall be well.
God: works best when we wait…
Psalm 46:10 (KJV) “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
We live in a frantic world where everything is fast paced; this is only surpassed by our need to get things done now or before our minds think of it.
In this attitude it is difficult to be in agreement with God and understand that what He is doing takes time and will only be accomplished when He knows it is best.
In the process of waiting, enjoy the ride and give God as much crazy praise as possible. Being still is good.
God: made allowances in this season….
Matthew 24:22-28 (KJV) “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.”
In this time and season we are living, we have to cling to the cross of Jesus ever more so now more than ever. The attacks against our minds and our walk is increasing and knowing that we have a Savior who is a Father and who has gone to prepare a place for us; He has gone to prepare a place where we can reign with Him and He knew that the attacks against us would come against His children.
His elect He has called us and we have to remember this promise and know that He will be coming back soon.
God: inbuilt faith within us (activate your own)
Hebrews 11:1-2 (KJV) “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.”
It can be difficult for some of us to reach to that higher place where we absolutely trust our Heavenly Father for the things which He has already promised and are ours to hold unto.
He gives the conditions and the clauses and it’s only for us to assimilate His word and understand what He is telling us to do.
As go about our busy days, we tend to complain that things aren’t as we would like them to be, but did we meet the conditions and understand the method of grabbing unto what we do have?
Relationship with God brings greater understanding.
God: gave us the tools (use them)
Hebrews 9:13-14 (KJV) “For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”
God placed a perfect and effective choice of tools at our disposal if and when we need to use them, but ultimately, the thought we need to keep in our minds is that He created and paid the cost for anything we might go through in this life.
His name is above any other name and can be activated in whatever situation we are going through for deliverance.
His blood is already shed on Calvary cross to cover the things that perplex and vex our souls, spirit and body.
Let God’s offering for us be acceptable and the balm for our weary souls.
