Keen Interest pays rewards

God: is drawn when we pursue Him….

Psalm 37:4-5 (KJV) “Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

In our interaction with folks it is obvious that when we display earnest interest in someone and our portrayal is honest, then that person can respond with likewise interest. That can be the expected outcome even if it does not always happen in that manner.

However, with God, He makes it plain what His expectation is in terms of relationship; He has a desire for us to delight in Him and show Him deep attention. In doing so, He is drawn toward us and the things which pertains to us.

Our interests and needs is right before His eyes and even as we continue to place an emphasis on the things that is of Him, the knowledge of Him becomes that much more impactful in our lives.

Overall, it is beneficial to have a relationship with God, but the interest and effect is magnified when it becomes intimate. Knowing Him deeply.

I’m still on the learning curve for knowing God deeply. Perhaps that’s one of the delights of our relationship with Him, however. There’s always more to discover about him, we can continue to grow in intimacy together until Jesus comes to take us home. Hallelujah!

  2. I think people are turning to God more with this pandemic. I hope and pray it continues.
