God:always demonstrate confirmation…
John 21:14-17 (KJV) “This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead. So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”
If we should count the many times we have been led to believe in the way or manner a situation will occur as a believer, we would have to count the times when that word was duplicated and we may have wondered, why it is done in such a way.
Our Father knows we at times get to doubting Him; we see it in the word from Genesis to Revelation; God speaks and His people question Him and at times don’t believe the word which He sends forth.
But in this instance we see Jesus confronting one of His disciples and questioning them repeatedly on the same issue. Why?
Confirmation cements the reason and the outcome.
As He speaks, let the words sink into the inner being; His words makes the difference.
