That spirit of depression…

God:can triumph over this as well…

Psalms 42:11 (KJV) “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.”

Many times in our lives, we experience feelings which can be inexplicable in how they make you feel. You appear to be taken over by an entity that is stronger than you and which seemingly want to suck the living out of you.

At first you fight, then you relinquish all efforts at fighting, because it seems to be bent upon having it’s way in controlling your emotions, thoughts and behavior.

When you want to be happy, it tells you to be sad; you want to run and jump about in the rain, it tells you the rain will hurt your skin. Nothing positive with this entity that seems to have consumed your will.

But why be cast down my soul? Is the hope from God dead?

Thinking on the hope and promise from my heavenly Father: hope in Him. HE will give the sunshine permission to arise within my spirit….Arise my spirit and hope in the Lord.

There is a constant fight between the flesh and the spirit, but as you said we should always hope in God and Endeavour to feed the Spirit more while starving the flesh. Happy Thanksgiving day to you.
