God: wants us to talk to Him…
Psalms 28:1-2 (KJV) “To You I will cry, O Lord my Rock: Do not be silent to me, lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy sanctuary.”
When we pray to God today it’s because we are seeking that contact with a deeper and higher entity who can do something for us that we cannot do for ourselves. That in itself is the premise for prayers. We recognize our weakness and seek to have a completeness within ourselves.
God through His Son, Jesus Christ is able to enable this to come to pass for us.
May we join the Psalmist, King David in reaching out and crying out to the heavenly Father to answer our prayers; to turn heavenly resources into our earthly fulfillment; to grant us that peace which passeth all understanding.
It’s not a new philosophy; we have just inherited it.
