His timing was and is still right…

God: composed the action….

Habakkuk 2:1-3 (KJV) “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

Some folks today try selling that God doesn’t speak to man any more and that what He wants to tell us is already in Word that He gave us as a blueprint. I choose to err on the side that God is still speaking to His people even though we might not want to hear what He is saying.

Many times it might be a cautionary word, other times it can come in the form of a warning, but the communication is still there for us to benefit.

One thing to be cautious of is that when the word comes, it might not necessarily be for this moment or this time. It could be that it is for another season and the challenge for us is knowing the time and the season of the vision and promises that God has given us.

“Even if it tarry, it shall surely come to pass” is stated in the word quoted above; when God says it, that word may take a while to come, but it will come to fruition.

I’ve been unhappy at my work and thinking often about leaving, trying in my head to negotiate when to go, when to call a recruiter…
I opened up WordPress. I have a little time before Skyping with a friend doing missionary work in Thailand. The top post on my feed – this one.
God is good – put His reassuring message to me exactly where I would see it.

So true. The Lord is still speaking to us. When we pray, He immediately reply but some of us don’t want to hear what He has to say. Great encouraging post. It was a blessing. Have a great weekend.
