God: relishes our praises…
Psalm 92:1-4 (KJV) “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: To shew forth thy loving kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.”
In our personal relationships with others, we learn how to navigate the various emotions and behavior patterns, just pretty much knowing what pleases and displeases that person and try as much as you desire to make that person happy.
In our relationship with God, it is a give and take also; He has feelings, He wants to be close in fellowship with us and it is good when He can look on any specific interaction and know that a person genuinely wants to be honorable to Him.
I think in the gist of things, we all would want to be in relationship with someone who treasures us.
Our honor is exemplified when we praise and worship our Father, earnestly. Keep at it, He appreciates it.
