Did you do outreach today?

God:empower us to do…

Psalms 143:8-10 (KJV) “Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”

Some days you go through and there is a burning fire within you to “do”; you want to reach out to as much people as you can to tell them about the love of Jesus. It might not necessarily speaking the words, but maybe you provided something for them that was needed and that caused them to be satisfied.

In helping them you would have caused Christ to be well pleased with you; it is God’s desire that we ease the burdens if at all possible of someone in need.

If you can offer a hand to aide that individual, do it with the mindset that it is assistance that is being granted to your Lord.

He sees and He knows.

I’ve been praying for days now… “Souls first, God. Help me live today ‘souls first.'”

I taught on this subject this past Sunday, that all Christians should be more willing to help others than we actually are. I am afraid I offended some with the teaching. In fact, one student interjected with a comment about justifying not helping some people because “they are just trying to scam us.” I disagreed(with love, I hope) and stood by the teaching, as it is Biblical.
