God: timetable is different from our own…
Lamentations 3:25-26 (KJV) “The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”
Humans are different from any other entity you find in our universe; we have a set schedule for accomplishing things for the most part. We break down accomplishments we want to achieve at different points in our lives into various pockets and at set dates.
The expectation of the world is another variance to take into consideration as the push to do stuff is considered from another view; the believer’s life ought to be shadowed under the umbrella of God with a surrender to His guidance.
It might not always be like this, because we are entities who want and like to have and make plans that showcase our forward thinking ability. If a plan isn’t in place then that opens up a doorway for a myriad of maladies which aren’t necessarily good for our health and well-being.
God, however is a God time and patience; He does things on His own calendar and requires that as His people, our character is enabled with this virtue.
For many of us, this is difficult but it is a good trait: patience. Allows us to savor that which is to come.
