God: uses His hands to gather us….
Isaiah 51:15-16 (KJV) “But I am the Lord thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The Lord of hosts is his name. And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.”
Feeling as if you are left alone to fight the battles in life is a mindset that many of us endure at times; it can really get you down to the point that you start to fret and ponder on the rational of what you are doing, and of course this is from the enemy of our souls.
Jesus made us another promise, and that is “I will be with you always” (Matthew 28:20); so the mere fact that He has chosen to be at our sides is a sign that our problems are just a help away.
He goes further and tells us in the OT that “He is our Lord”, but in addition to that, He took His all encompassing hand and lifted us up and covered us and is faithful to keep us wholly within His palms.
My Lord, that is ideally the shelter in the time of storms which that feeling of being alone cannot counteract.
May God allow us to see how passionate He is about us.
