God: giver of illumination…
Isaiah 9:2 (KJV) “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”
I believe that we can all attest to that time in our lives when we didn’t have a relationship with Jesus; contrast to the stark difference of being converted and being a believer.
At one time we walked in this life without purpose, no positive affirmation of having a future that has completion.
As we walk in the light, the light being Jesus, the future hope is different: “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 Jh 1:7).
There is a clarity and hope which brings about possibility.
The words you write are filled with truth. When we look back it is darkness compared to what He has, is and continues to do in our lives.
So true…vw
