God: cannot lie on what He says…
2 Peter 3:8-9 (KJV) “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
When God gives us a promise it is a surety and you bet that it is guaranteed to come to pass no matter what comes our way.
I find myself today with a greater revelation of the character of God in that what He says must happen in our lives and I am standing on some of His promises for my life; I waiver a bit when my life almost got cut off a few weeks ago and it is only by His grace that I know that what He promises has to come to pass.
The adversary of our souls was bent on destruction, but Jesus: my hero sent forth the angels to hold me up in their arms.
Today I am persuaded more firmly that even if it takes a thousand years, God’s promises for my life shall come to pass no matter the objections.
Hold unto what He has whispered in your ears.
