God: gives specific instructions…
Habakkuk 2:2 (ZKJV) “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
I think some of us can really understand the intimidation we feel at times when we get an unction to do something divine and the struggle endues when attempting to get it right because we don’t want to make a mistake.
Could God have told me that; was that really Him asking me to do that? And we can get it all bunched up as we try to figure it out. The end result at times for many of us is that we delay or put doing it until it’s not done: delayed obedience.
God isn’t please with this, but as Jesus says, “my sheep hear my voice” (John 10:27); it is a delight to know the voice of God when He instructs us and to follow at His call.
The prophet new that God was responding to his cries and giving him instructions; and to make sure, He told him to start writing the words that He spoke, so there won’t be a mistake in your head after the conversation is over. I’m sure many can attest to that forgetfulness happening to us at crucial moments.
Listen for His voice: it’s important.
