God: surrounds himself with many….
St. John 12:4-6 (KJV) “Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.”
The word of God is so varied and intense that it is impossible for anyone to really say that they know all of it; there is always room for increase knowledge or understanding. There are times when you look at the word and get one interpretation and a bit later another meaning is highlighted.
It just blows your mind the direction God can take with His Word. Take a look at the reading today and in all honesty, I have read and digested this scripture many times in my life, but I never paid attention to the fact that the word classified Judas as a thief.
But it just jumped right out in the reading “but because he was a thief”; and he was there with Christ, went with Him on His journeys, yet He was a thief.
It pays to know where you are heading in your walk with God; association to religion doesn’t mean anything in the big scheme of things..
