God: wants this of us….
Philippians 4:11 (KJV) “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”
When we read about the word put forth today, it speaks directly to our state of contentment and being able to acknowledge that it is a learned state. Contentment doesn’t just happen, we have to first recognize it, then acknowledge that it is a force to be reckon with.
At times we have diverse desires, needs and wants, but maybe when we look deeper into the situation, we can search and seek the face of God for alternatives to having these fulfilled. Maybe in the process of seeking God, we get a redirection that is more satisfying.
Contentment comes when that which we think is necessary becomes secondary to our heart.
