God: plan for our edification….
2 Corinthians 13:10-11 (KJV) “Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction. Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.”
In the body of Christ we have been blessed with many talents and gifts which has been bestowed upon us for the benefit of the body and as such when we recognize and understand that which we are tasked with, we need to learn to be led of Holy Spirit in utilizing it.
Edification is the art of teaching and improving a person in some sense such as this it would be spiritually. The spiritual translates into the physical aspect of the person.
In the word today, the Apostle Paul cautions the believers on the purpose of the power granted to one anointed and how to effectively use it for them. It all culminates in a word of comfort for them in loving one another.
If we can get beyond offenses and learn to quickly forget, the journey gets to be that much easier, but at times it can be a fight. Let Holy Spirit guide in all things…
