God: desires us to seek Him above all things….
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
In our daily lives we have a lot of things we desire or need; and we place an urgent pull on the throne of God with the hope that our needs will be met judiciously, after all He is our Father and He supplies our needs.
But what if you challenged yourself to “desire nothing” for yourself? In the big scheme of things, look on the things which belong to God and think on who He is in purity and glory and let your prayers be praises; your wants only to please and worship Him.
What if you tried that methodology of interacting with your Father; being careful for nothing, not asking for a season, but giving all the glory to your Father; would you be able to abide in someone else need being fulfilled?
The peace of God is a powerful ingredient in our lives and it is ours if we desire it; filling even the need to gratify our wants.
Seek God’s glory.
