God: weighs our behavior to each other….
Psalm 32:10 (KJV) “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.”
Many of us are tunnel vision when it comes to justice and mercy; it is evident even when we consider the way we interact with each other at times and the expectations we have from one another.
It’s not just looking at what we require from the other person, but look into how we react when someone does us harm or wrong and it is needful that forgiveness or pardon be granted; we do so, but at times it is grudgingly given.
What happens when we are the ones in the wrong: knowingly or unknowingly, and expect that our slate be wiped clean for a refresh or restart of the relationship. It can be tenuous to our expectations when forgiveness is long in coming.
God touts compassion and forgiveness, but how many of us actively practice this in all situation we find ourselves? I bet there is a lot of room for improvement; don’t forgive and keep a long memory of the event.
