God: has a measure of all things….
Philippians 4:8-9 (KJV) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you”.
“Whatsoever” is a powerful word and as it is used in this context it highlights just the right things we need to be focusing in our walk with Jesus; at times it seems that things are just so humdrum, but looking behind the screen makes a big difference.
You see things you won’t ordinarily see in the natural; it might be the worse day for the week, but look behind the scene and see the lovely sunshine brightly smiling at you as if sent just for your benefit to light your way.
Our eyes see what is before our faces, but when we choose to see the purity in a mean person, the lovely facade behind a tramp, the love behind a mean person; you get where I am going.
There is always something causing the pain or reaction you see, but look beyond that and see the lovely; see Jesus shining in that person or situation…
