God: already said the words…
Exodus 20:5 (KJV) “Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me”.
There are some things in the word of God that isn’t up to translation or interpretation; you know without any doubt that when He spoke the word, it is what it is. Such as, “this is my son, hear ye Him”.
No need for interpretation, God the Father is ratifying the fact that Jesus is His son, sent by Him unctionized by Him and is part of Him.
The same way when He tells you some of who HE is, “for I the Lord they God am a jealous God”: no stuttering there and yet the statement has enough validity that within ourselves we know that He expects loyalty and devotion to Him.
Love me for who I am because I don’t share my honor with anyone.
If you are in a relationship, mutual respect and honor is expected: He is asking for it, so give it: your devotion and your love.
