God: said it…
Romans 8:4-9 (KJV) “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his”.
The word of God shows us how God approaches His people and the things He desires in those who claim to be His own. He went through a process of facing rebellion from those whom He brought out of Egypt and the ultimate fight He went through trying to get them to the place of reward.
Today in our lives, the rules have been modified and we have a great contrast to see how far He has gone to ensure that what we need to do can be accomplished.
Although He has made adjustments, He still requires that we get rid of the carnality; sin is still a reproach of God’s law. Getting into the secret place still requires holiness: God is holy.
Walking in the spirit will allow us to be that much closer to Him and this pleases HIM. That is what is required of us: to please our Heavenly Father.
Beloved, walk in the spirit: please Him.
