God: wants the body to work through our spirit…
Romans 12:1-2 (KJV) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.
There are many verses in the word which can cause an impact in your spirit, but the approach which Paul takes in these two verses, really reaches to the spirit as he touches both heaven and earth, appealing to the conscious, soul and body to be in union and oneness with God who created us.
He begs the reader to be aware of the consciousness of their life-living and the purpose they were created.
We sometimes are presumptuous enough at times to think that we belong to ourselves and much like the world make our decisions on this level.
The mind and soul we had as a sinner is of no use to us as believers: it needs transformation and God needs our willing body to work through for the saving of our souls.
We have a part in the renewing.
