God: can allow affliction and deflect it also!
Psalm 119:67 (KJV) “Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word”.
IN this life we have choices, and being a believer our decision to stay under the umbrella of the living God is another decision that will affect certain outcome in our lives. Sometimes we get tired of the walk and decide that it was best if you hadn’t made the choice to follow Jesus, but with that choice we are decidedly telling the adversary that we have no covering.
We are offering ourselves as targets to be afflicted; and according to the Psalmist, “before I was afflicted I went astray”; it is not obvious to the novice believer that there are ramifications to every action, but thanks be to God for His mercies and love.
He put teachers into our lives, intercessor to pray us through, leaders who are authentic: God did not leave us blind, but we have to do our part.
Do the alternate: keep the word before your eyes…
