Who called you?

God: has a question for us…

Isaiah 1:12 (KJV) “When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

Many times we get to talking with believers who are doubting their beliefs and it can be a dilemma in understanding the claim to being a child of God or a Jesus follower; when you look at it, we tend to be a group of folks prone to be followers or imitators.

I want to be known to be genuine in my convictions and not persuaded or acting because I see that it is what someone else is doing.

In the reading, we see God asking a pertinent question, posed to the Israelite of old when they offered Him a form of worship not to His standard; “who hath required this at your hand”?

Maybe He looks at some of us today with our ulterior motives and fake worship and forced attendance and the question is being posed to us; the surest thing we lean on is the fact that God doesn’t need us, but we surely need Him.

In all His glory we need our Father; so if He called you, won’t you let Him know that it is as He wishes, not our will or desire, but His will be done…
