God: delights in blessing His people….
John 15:7-8 (KJV) “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples”.
Discipleship has an integral point that makes it a success and that is obedience; the willingness to want to please and stick to the requirements set forth in the word is the premise.
Some might say that “this one is hard; I don’t like this one; I can pass up on this one” but ultimately that is selective obedience and that’s negates the requirements.
Abiding in Jesus and allowing what He has put forth to live within you is a task which takes the help of the Spirit of God and that my friend will take you the distance; when you have reached that state, He said asked what you will and it shall be done.
I can live with that distinction.
