When your ears tingle: It’s Him…

God: shows signs that we ignore…

1 Samuel 3:11 (KJV)”And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle”.

The Preacher known as King Solomon advises us that “there is nothing new under the sun” (Eccl 1:9) and it is a truth which bears witness if we are knowledgeable about the things of God.

Years ago, God warned one of His prophets that, “my people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6) and even in our lives today we push the blanket because we have limited knowledge and understanding of what is wrong and right.

Many of us are making it up as we go along and that is also a trait which came into existence when the people of God tried to live without His guidance. But may the God of truth do a thing that will cause our ears to tingle and our spirits to bear witness to His Spirit….

I pause for thought…am I “making it up as (I) go along,” or am I following the guidance of God and a simple mission? I sidestep a lot of the controversy and debate because I do not have a clear answer. This may be cowardice on my part, but I will only promote what I know to be gospel: Jesus Christ commanded that we 1) love God and 2) love our neighbor. I leave the rest to others who are more capable than I.

You have to step up your faith meter. Ask Him for answers and I guarantee He will answer. James said if you lack wisdom you need to ask Him who gives it liberally. Try asking consistently and tell me better in a months time. Blessings..vw

Thank you for this post, Sister. It also reminds me of these passages (vv.18-20) from Romans 1:

“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse” (NIV).

  5. Praise God. God will allow us the knowledge, although knowledge is not necessarily a good thing. Knowledge of scripture is most definitely good though.
