A hunger for Him…

God: can be quite intriguing….

Psalm 42:1-2 (KJV) “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?”

As sinners in a sinful world, we get drawn by God to enter relationship with Him; He pursues us at times and can get quite persuasive when we are stubborn. He cherishes the bond and the disclosing that comes with intimacy.

It gets to a point at times that He will withdraw to see whether your interest is true and will hold fast. He withdraws and you have to turn to what you know, but that doesn’t satisfy. In His hiding, you turn to seek after Him; you long for those days, those times, when He was all up in your face and taking you here there and everywhere in the Spiritual realm.

He has birthed a hunger for His presence; the only choice left of course to allow the relationship to grow is to turn into the pursuer.

Go after Him….

Wow, thanks for this timely article, which I will reblog. I’ve been going through a dry spell spiritually, where I feel I am saved but very low in the awareness of God’s presence. You give me hope vw1212.

    God bless you. 🙂

Have you fasted lately? Try a half day if you can and ask Him to make His way plain before your face….Blessings vw

Thanks, will try that. Half a day sounds like a good plan. I live with a non-believing husband (we married when I wasn’t walking with the Lord) so too much fasting isn’t feasible but your suggestion sounds perfect.

Ok. Keep talking to God and see Him explode in your situation.

It’s like hide and seek sometimes, isn’t it?
