God: knew the end result….
John 19:30 (KJV) “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost”.
In our lives there can be situations which can only be described as poetic, because at times, they make us laugh, cry, smile or maybe despondent; but through it all our emotions are twisted and bent out of shape to the point that we can say we have experienced extremities.
It is said, “We love Him because He first loved me” (1John 4:19) and of a truth our existence is as a result of that love; if any doubts exist He made the ultimate sacrifice and gave His only son for all of us: you and I.
Still doubting as so many of us are wont to do, He endured hardship on this earth which should have welcomed Him implicitly, but did not.
The ultimate gift of love: The death of Christ as a sacrificial lamb for you and I. On the cross He endured the pangs of death, cruelty as a sinner; but he endured and then before the life went out of Him, He remembered you and I and reported to His Father, “it is finished”.
My love is complete, yet it endures forever: for you and I….
He was thinking of us when He died.
