Love is obedience; even dirty at times….

God: loves His Son to the uttermost….

Philippians 2: 8-11 (KJV) “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”.

A Father sends His Son as a sacrificial lamb; He gave Him a duty and expected a full and complete result from the task He was to perform. The job was dirty according to the eyes of humanity, there were job descriptions that some of us would decry as being outside of our “job description”.

We would hand in a resignation letter to our bosses if it were us that were given those duties to accomplish. But Jesus looks at things differently than we do, and He demonstrates the same mind as His Father, because He came, He did and He completed: the report is thorough.

He went through much embarrassment, disgrace and rejection, but the love He inhabits within Him for the Father gave Him the grace to accomplish obedience.

Obedience even to death on the cross: for you and I.

Obedience to the cross. The job was dirty, He looked on it as love. Beloved love can be dirty at times.

My new mantra: this is not heaven; this is the life before the afterlife. There is much work to be done…Thanks, be to God.
