God: created secret places for a reason…
Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV) “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust”.
Many days I don’t want to appear in public; I don’t want to be in public, around anyone or be seen by anyone. On days like those, it is fine for me to be in deep conversation with Jesus, just talking with Him and hearing what He has to say.
It really feels good to admit that without anyone thinking that my specialty is weirdness. Alone time is very important to me and it is with gratitude that I can look upon this reading as in invitation to go deep into a place where it possible to seek a refuge in my time of need.
Many of us go daily, weekly, hourly without stopping and the end is the grave. No thought on really enjoying the here and now or going at it at such speed that in memorial, there are many regrets.
It if fine to stop and get yourself together for your own benefit; don’t let time spent with yourself be lost in the equation. Incorporate that special time in the secret place as a habit and see the reward to your way of living….
