God: sent His Son to us; for us….
John 6:38-39 (KJV) “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day”.
Sometimes we have people in our lives and we totally take them for granted; they are there whenever we have need of things and it isn’t long before assume that they will consistently be there to lean on as life goes on.
Many times we don’t take the time to acknowledge what they do because it has become second nature for them to act and fill in certain gaps in our lives. Much as we do with our Savior, we take it for granted that He IS, so HE will do what He needs to in our lives.
It takes a conscious decision to be grateful and to acknowledge what anyone does for us; this goes a little deeper with the relationship we have with Jesus. He left His throne in glory and took on mortal flesh to demonstrate to us that it is possible to live in this world and overcome the temptations which it brings to us.
He loves us something awful and still inhabits us, and for this we need to be thankful; He came a long way and still is tarrying with and for us. May we be thankful, may we remember that our God is still demonstrating a vested interest in us; He is still doing for us.
