God: is the ultimate love in our lives….
Song of Solomon 2:4-5 (KJV) “He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love”.
We see any number of loosely translated depiction of love relationships in the entertainment media any given day of the week; love so passionate and strong, but they never last the test of time. Sometimes it’s not weeks after and there are reports of breaking apart and separations.
Love in the twenty first century is tumultuous and fleeting; folks just don’t have the longevity that will stand the test of time.
To see a real and candid demonstration of love at it’s best, the writer in the Songs of Solomon gets a deep insight into the Shepherd and how He goes about wooing and .overshadowing the one that incites love in His bosom.
I guarantee that anyone who would have experience this level of courting will never recover from the experience. That my friend is our relationship with God: He conquers and it is not His desire to let go.
He holds us to that which we have committed to His charge and likewise that which He has placed within us.
