God: sent Him through the wringer for us…
Isaiah 53:2-3 (KJV) “For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not”.
As the Prophet took time to sit and describe the Son of man as He receives revelation knowledge from our Father in Heaven and the His Father also, it would make us wonder.
We as a people love to see beauty around us and when we hear something good happening, we like to associated wonderful, outstanding, beautiful and graceful words to describe and stamp it. Let’s face it: we have our own beautiful picture of our Savior, much less when we read about the fabulous things He accomplished when He walked this earth.
But real beauty is not seen…
Does that shock you? It ought not to beloved, a person can display the most wonderful outer beauty yet poison inhabits the inside. It’s not even worth being in the vicinity of such a one.
Anoint your eyes with salve as you go about your daily business and it might save you a whole lot of heartache….
