God: hides from us at times….
Psalms 42:1-2 (KJV) “As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?”
Today we have a majority of different dating etiquette and games people play when they are interested in each other; a lot of them are surface and light, very flirty with the expectation that it won’t really go anywhere.
And that’s fine, for the world; but we who are called to a higher purpose, ought to be engaging in a far different rule. You see, it isn’t everyone that the Spirit of God inhabits; it is a privilege for those who have a relationship with Jesus.
When this happens, the aspect of gaming isn’t relevant anymore; He stirs you and moves you to go to another level in living, in moving in this life. Thing that used to be commonplace is not evident in attitudes or behavior.
It’s no longer a surface or flighty existence; you become hungry and thirsty for the things that is not seen. Your inner being is inflamed by a desire that the ordinary person does not understand or experience. It can be compared to the deer panting for the water brooks, you need that deeper infilling consistently.
For this purpose it will appear that God is hiding His presence from us as we search and dig for that deeper pull into that place not easily found.
His promise: they that hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled….Beloved, keep searching, keep panting…
