It’s relentless….

God: eases the pain when it hurts so badly…

2 Corinthians 4:6-10 (KJV) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body”.

In this life one of the things we can be assured of is that we will feel pain.  Through sickness, ailments, betrayal, through whatever has a hold of us and can invoke sensitivity. And one other thing you can be sure of is that pain when it comes is relentless in afflicting as much pain as possible.

It doesn’t want to let go; but I heard a word the other day saying, “we are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we re perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed”; my God, it truly hurts when it comes.

But oh God, the Spirit of God is faithful…..He carries us through it all. Through it all, He is there….We aren’t forgotten…

Consider the wonder of 2 Cor 4:6: 6 For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. Match it with: 1 John 1:5: 5 The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it./// Darkness can not dispel light. Light dispels darkness. Consider a totally dark room; it is “Totally Dark.” Turn on a flashlight, and it “chases the darkness out.” That is the way that the darkness of our unborn again spirit becomes light when we are born again/// You post is really good!!!

Yes if you consider it, the light is supposed to always be there for the believer, but in the process of time when you go through the other attributes, there must be a refining for the light to get to all the corners. It will happen, but it takes time…vw

      • Equipping The Saints says:

Consider the born again process, John 14:16-17; 14:20; 2 Cor 5:17; 2 Cor 5:21. Col 1:27. 1 John 1:5. Consider the literal indwelling of the Spirit of God, The Spirit of Jesus, The Holy Spirit, all indwelling our Spirit, making it as perfect as the spirit of Christ. That is the Spirit being born again, being made perfect, which is as the darkness becoming light. Our soul, which has not been born again, will have to deal with the things that you mention. Please keep up your work.

VW, these last few words pinged. How easily I forget in my pain. Thank you.

  3. Pain, ugh! I don’t like it but I don’t fear it as I used to. I am hurting and also rejoicing today.
