God: desires peace, but….
Psalm 55:12-14 (KJV) “For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance. We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company”.
There are times when we encounter folks who turn out to be great advocates and friends for years upon years; you get to thinking it might be a lifetime relationship and this makes you happy.
But then the friendship can go through just one major storm that turns it into a ferocious battle that can derail your very existence. It hurts beyond tolerance, and makes the battle that more sore.
If it was someone we are accustomed fighting and struggling with, it would have been expected, but when in reminisce, and thinking of all the good times and enjoyment which has so quickly eroded, it causes quite a stir in the spirit.
But for the grace of God, there cometh peace….
