If it hadn’t been….

speak Lord

God: knew why He stood for us…

Psalm 124:1-6 (KJV) “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth”.

We all look back at our lives and it amazes us at times how we got over some situations; when we look into our lives and think on what ought to have killed us, yet we are still in the land of the living, there is no other rationale reason except that “God had been there for us and still is”.

If it hadn’t been for the Lord on our side when our enemies rose up against us in stealth, we would have been dead and long gone.

But today I can say, thank God for being on my side…

Amen to that, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Yes God preserves the lives of his saints. There’s a great story on the Bible Society website that talks about this sort of thing for a soldier in the world war – http://www.biblesociety.org.uk/about-bible-society/our-work/world-war-1/stories/soldiers/how-one-man-dodged-three-bullets/

God protects us from both physical and mental attacks and he kees us safe. Praise God!

    Have a lovely day
