His breath upon us….

breathe of God

God: allowed this as well….

John 20:22 (KJV) “And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost”:

If it is at all possible when we speak to some folks in the body of Christ and ask what is the desire of their hearts you sometimes get the run of the mill answer : to please God or to serve Him better or to know His will for my life.

And all these are good answers, but I remember an earlier experience between two prophets of God; one was about to be taken to heaven in a whirlwind and the other refused to let him go in peace (Elijah and Elisha); and it came to pass that the more experienced ask the upcoming prophet what he desired from him before he went.  The untried prophet replied, “a double portion”.

My God, what if we had the heart and mind to ask this of our Savior; Jesus let power that which operated in be poured out on us in double portion, it would be a wild and crazy world, but a world operating within a greater dimension of the Spirit and power of the Holy Ghost.

But He did something so powerful to those in His presence at the time, it most likely started the hunger and thirst for more: He breathed on them.  May God release His breath on us more today than ever before in history.

Breath on us Lord, do it again and again and again..

No good Him breathing if we are not inhaling. 🙂
