What if?

doubting is

God: He did it, so can we….

Luke 6:12-13 (KJV) “And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles”;

We live in a very inflammatory world today; and yes that is the word I choose to use in describing our culture. Not even to talk about the world, but the body of Christ which we inhabit in the flesh.

There is a lot to commend the body of Christ, and then again when you add the numbers there are a lot of things which is highlighted, but that which draws my attention is the complaints about things not being right in the churches….

I take a page out of the book of Jesus: PRAY. Whenever things got rough for Him, when He needed to get away, whenever He needed direction in life here on earth; when the Son of God wanted a word on what was going to happen in His life, He took up His walking stick and headed into solitude, into the mountains, the hills, the gardens, by Himself to talk to God.

What if folks who are called after His name did the same thing He did back then? The wonderful example given in the bible is that when He took those actions, He came back with an answer.

What questions do you the church have today that you have been waiting forever and a day for a response? Do what Jesus did and don’t leave your mountain hike until you receive your answer. Take a walk into the mountains when it gets dark….
