It’s still appropriate to say it…

God: still sends messages today to His people….

Zechariah 1:3 (KJV) “Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts”.

I heard a singer state “tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His word, just to rest upon His promise, just to say, “thus saith the Lord”; and it reassures one today that even in our circumstances, God is still speaking.

I want to hear God speak in my situation, His voice is all that makes the difference when things are good and when things are bad. If my ways pleases Him I want to hear Him say, “delight thyself in me”. If I am contrary in my behavior as I am known to be at times, let the words of God convict me of my wilful behavior.

In my estimation, I would rather be corrected of my behavior than to be walking around with a cocky attitude that I am a worthy saint in this world, but unworthy in the eyes of God.

Many times we miss it because our actions aren’t brought to our attention and we end up in error; my hope and pray is that even now as Jesus is on the right hand of God making intercession for us, we can hear when the Spirit whispers to us “turn”.

This points up the importance of continued study in His word, with others of like faith, to help us keep the things of God foremost in our lives. He speaks to us through His word, which has been sufficiently brought to us by way of His Son, Jesus Christ.

    Good post!
