God: will stablish it, be involved in the establishment as He brings it to pass…
1 Chronicles 17:11-12; 23-25 (KJV) “And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. Therefore now, Lord, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said. Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The Lord of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee. For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee”.
When you have sought the Lord for a thing, a specific thing, something that is close to your heart and He hears and answers your prayers; it hasn’t come to fruition as yet, but you have an answer, a promise that it is on its way. You don’t know the exact date, time or period, but you know within your heart of heart that your request is being processed in heaven’s kitchen.
What do you do when you got word that it is coming?
Do you take the time to go back to God and just have that dialogue of thankfulness , be gracious unto Him, bless His name. Tell Him all that He is and more to you, to the world to the unseen and seen nations that He has created? Do you love Him up something awesome; make Him want to duplicate the blessing He just agreed to send to you? Well do you?
If only we would take a page out of King David’s book and learn how to approach God in His fulness and His magnificent wonder. In my imagination I could see King David sitting before God and baring his heart to God:
“I don’t know who I am to you, but you treat me just right and give me the unction to declare your wonder in songs and hymns. Singing your praise is a filling and overwhelming pastime that I just can’t get enough of, so I have to continue doing it in the hope that one of these days I might understand why I have a deep well within me toward you that never seem to be filled. You encourage me to try and paint a picture of you that will be seen by generations upon generations to come; why do you love me so?”
But that’s just my imagination at work as I see how this man approaches God in humility as He pronounce something of a wonder upon the life of his kids and grandkids and the future seed which He will not be around to see.
Beloved saint in Christ, can you fathom it? This love for and to our Father in Heaven is such a wonder that it still stands in our time. I want just a touch of this love, just a touch….
