God: brings about the promise…
Acts 2:38,39 (KJV) “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call”.
One guarantee we have as believers is that the promises of God is sure to us, but to appropriate the promises, we need to know them and identify the premises of what they cover as it relates to our lives.
The confidence I have in walking with Christ is that if I ever doubt what He tells me, because of a fault within me, He is faithful and bountiful in granting to me that which He says He will.
You see God is not a man that He should lie and I would like to add that He makes allowances for our shortcomings, even when we doubt the things He wishes to bring to us. What has God promised you and you have been see sawing about receiving it because you think you aren’t worthy? Try going out on a limb and believe that it will come to pass.
