God: truly a faithful presence….
Numbers 23:19 (KJV) “”God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
I’m sure if I were to ask any ten individuals at any time if they had lied or would lie if caught in a predicament, they would say no; but in actuality when the occasion arise upon them, they would rather lie because it is more convenient at the time.
Sometimes we lie when the situation is so unexpected and we don’t have an expectation that a particular situation would confront us, but the first thing out of our mouths is a lie and many of us get caught up in that trap, no matter how earnest and sincere we are.
But the character of God is such that He cannot lie and can in no way or form does He condone lying because what He says is and He will not go contrary to what He has already established.
We at times try to blame Him for our shortcomings or when things get exposed as a result of our trickery, but God is a faithful God in that He is long-suffering toward us and will demonstrate mercy as He has consistently done throughout they years.
Maybe we need to establish our faith meter today and measure our level of faithfulness as it relates to Him who has been faithful through the thick and the thin experiences in our lives.
