God: needs for us to trust Him..

Luke 5:4-5 (KJV) “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net”.

At times we are sure that the communication we are getting is coming from God, but just to be sure we test it and question and ask for so much confirmation; to be sure we aren’t being led astray or receiving wrong direction or information.

But the assurance we have with God is that when He wants to get a point across or wants to lead us in a certain manner then He does what He needs to do to accomplish His will; trusting God is believing that He has the entire world in His hand and unless we are bent on accomplishing our own will instead of His will then we need to let Him lead the way.

Jesus prompted Peter and although what He was suggesting was not feasible to Peter after all, he had already just spent the entire night out on the waters without any success. But what Peter wasn’t aware of at the time was that God knows everything, even where and when the fish came to feed.

Beloved, what exactly is God asking you to do that appear downright foolish or that it doesn’t make sense? Well if you have asked for confirmation, gotten it and it still seems unfathomable, Jesus might just be prodding you not so gently to get to a point: trust Him.

Trivia: Scripture reveal that God was on a mount and was surrounded by a certain number of angels; what mount and how many angels surrounded Him?

  1. Every thing He wants us to do doesn’t always make sense at the time. I’ve had a couple of things that still don’t make sense. But He knows.
