My understanding can be faulty at times….

God: is perfect in His doing…

Proverbs 3:5-7 (KJV) “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil”.

I tend to have a mind which is always thinking and it does so at a very quick pace; I have to stop myself at times to listen to all that is filtering into my mind. And I do filter to identify the source of information that is passing so quickly through my head, because if there are things coming through which might be a source of distress and not of God, then I need to remove it as soon as possible.

The word of God tells us that we need to “trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding”; this is very much like casting down imaginations, in the sense that what is not of sound interest ought to be filtered and removed, thrown out of your mind so that it doesn’t fester and bring about unhealthy patterns.

We live in a world where everything is visual, you drive down the road and there are things to see which are good and bad; same on the train; also if you are on a flight. You have to consciously decide that you need to put in a filter so that your mind won’t be affected and when you have done your best, depend on God to eradicate the things which prove too strong for your knowledge or understanding to deal with.

At times it takes the wisdom of God to get through some of the fights we have to constantly deal with on a consistent basis, hence the word tells us that we ought not to be wise in our own eyes, but to fear the Lord and my friend that sums up the entire matter; our wisdom is foolishness and if we need to get through this race, a healthy dose of God centric wisdom is what will do the job.

New Trivia: We are told “in all your getting, get” what are we advised to get?
