God: created the words we enjoy….
Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV) “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened”.
Before we go much further, I would like to encourage you to just stop for a moment and talk with your Father as He is very much available at the throne of Grace to answer your petitions even now; don’t be dismayed, He is not a man that He should lie and He has said He will provide your needs.
As we move on to this wonderful gem of a “word” I got to studying and thinking about this well known scripture you hear it from the pulpit, you mother, your teacher; this is one scripture that even the child can memorize and repeat to anyone even out of scriptural context and that is saying a lot.
Consider the word which Jesus was instructing His disciples, “ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you”! Pretty interesting especially when you have a need which defies the odds of existence such as: sickness, financial lack, poverty for prolonged periods, oppression from the enemy, et al. We can go on with the many needs that face us on any given day; the word of God says to seek resolution from God; speak the word of request and things starts to happen.
In the earlier post we see how the man who had a deadly sickness approached Jesus and he did it with some protocol that had him healed and on his way in quick time; he recognized divine protocol. But what if we apply this entire directive from Jesus into asking, seeking and knocking for entry into the spiritual realm; wanting to get deeper into the mysteries which surround Him?
It breaks down to what you are interested in gaining or where your attention is focused; you can be satisfied with the minimum standard of operation and well that might be your lot in life, but then again you can seek to do serious damage to the kingdom of darkness and seek God for the tools and equipment and the charge to do so. But you gotta want to have it, desperately seek to get it and keep knocking persistently until He recognizes the right time or when you are ready to receive it and then things starts to happen in your world.
My friend, this scripture has just taken on new meaning and new possibilities for me; how about you?
New Trivia: We are told “in all your getting, get” what are we advised to get?
