Effective Protocol

God: has ways to do things…

Matthew 8:2-3 (KJV) “And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed”.

This perfect stranger walks up to Jesus and beseeched Him for healing of a disease which pretty much ostracizes you from society; He did something many of us don’t in the ordinary course of the day “worshipped the Christ” and then he presented his request.

At times you get the sense that when you pray consistently it’s because of a fire that needs to be put out in life and then it is imperative that you talk to your Father and request resolution from Him in the situation. But prayer is another word for relationship with God; what you put in is what you will get out of it.

One thing that is appreciative of how this guy approaches Jesus is “humility”; he understood authority and knew protocol in gaining what he needed in life.

Maybe there is a delay in your case being resolved because you don’t recognize appropriate protocol in this relationship you are in with your heavenly Father. He is gentle, meek and mild but at the same time He is still God of the universe and He is holy. We can’t forget the holy part, because when we do, we take away the unique of who He is and has been since before time started.

My friend, seek Godly knowledge and wisdom in knowing and honoring your Father.

New Trivia: We are told “in all your getting, get” what are we advised to get?

  1. I was just thinking about this very fact. Getting close to the Lord is so necessary, but not so close that I forget just who he is. The Creator, Wisdom, King…And I am blessed by that.

What's your thought on this?
