God: multiplies favor in gifting us…

Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”.

There comes a point in our lives when we get to really evaluating the decisions we have made throughout our lives, compare the patterns and try to analyze where we went wrong and what we did that brought about great results. It can be a daunting process especially when you are a believer of Christ, but one thing we can walk away with when it is done properly is that we ought to have depended upon Jesus more.

Our nature is one prone to self sufficiency; we love doing things our way for the most part and try to accomplish things with a prayer of “God bless the endeavors of my hands” when we need to be seeking Him for our daily bread. There is a difference when we are led of God versus trying to lead God to align with our ways.

It breaks down to understanding who God is and that Godly understanding can only come by seeking Godly wisdom.  The writer instructs us that “wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”. It’s a mouthful, but if you pay attention, it makes a lot of sense and in application will bring you to where you need to be spiritually.

Beloved, it is God’s desire to bless us with the tools to succeed, dependent on Him not independently, so as you do your evaluation, ensure that Jesus is incorporated every step of the way.

New Trivia: We are told “in all your getting, get” what are we advised to get?
