An enviable place…

God: does something wonderfully unusual ever so often…

Daniel 6:3 (KJV) “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm”.

There are times when because of whom we are, our attitudes and character that we are esteemed and promoted to a higher level or for more responsibilities. Then again, there are times when because of whose we are, the favor for promotion just rests upon us and we reap the benefits of things which others seriously struggle to accomplish.

I can appreciate hard work and what it entails, and in the alternate I relish the favor of God upon anything that I touch so that it works out for the good and the distractions wouldn’t gain traction in getting to the end product.

In our reading today we see a man of God who was highly favored and faced such a spiritual favor on His life and was ultimately promoted to goodness which caused no end of envy and attacks on his character and life.

I came to tell someone today that when you have divine favor, it is not something to trifle with because it brings you into high prominence before God. If you are careful student of the word, observe when the favor of God covers you and others attempt to subvert it, they bring judgment upon themselves.

So my beloved friend in Christ, if you are covered with such favor which runs over and covers you from your head to toe, start rejoicing, because I tend to believe you are in an enviable place.

New Trivia: We are cautioned to “remember” someone in the days of our youth; who is this?
