God: sends the word and waits for your reception of it...
Malachi 3:16 (KJV) “Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name”.
Sometimes a “word” comes to us in many a various ways and form and it touches our hearts yet we are at times wary of accepting it or doing so in the fullness which would require the propelling of the word into fruition. When the word comes forth into our lives, receiving it is the first step in activating the word, then we can start nurturing, walking in expectation, praying over what God is about to do in our lives.
But a lack of full acceptance for the things of God can be attributed to lack of fear of God as well, but the word teaches us how to cultivate the fear of God in our ways and actions, knowing that the fear of God has certain rewards associated to it. Not that God is paying us to fear Him, but when we acknowledge that HE is God and can do anything He wants to, that ought to make us cautious of the things we do and say.
The word also shows us that they that fear God also seek likeminded folks to share the happenings and the wherewithal, knowing that it isn’t robbery to speak of what God was doing in the lives of His people.
When respect and honor is given to the Almighty God our Father, His ears are attuned to the words spoken about Him, the reverence offered to Him and He honors those who speak the truth on His behalf. The great truth in this reading today being if you pay attention: is that those who seek God’s business will become aware that God is seeking their business as well; now isn’t that a marvelous measure of assurance from whom all blessings flow?
New Trivia: We are cautioned to “remember” someone in the days of our youth; who is this?
